The Dry Brew Experience
There's a certain kind of person who just gets Dry Brew the second you hand them a piece. Then there's the term we coined for everyone else 'skeptically optimistic'. They love coffee, they want to try Dry Brew but they're not sure what it's going to taste like. So they try it, raise an eyebrow, and say something like "wait, that's actually amazing!" This is part of the magic of the Dry Brew experience.
We recently had the chance to attend two events that sit close to our hearts: Grassroots Outdoor Alliance and the Switchback Expo. Two very different events, different rooms, similar energy in everyone's enthusiasm for the outdoors. GOA lives and breathes the independent outdoors channel while Switchback has a 'big brand energy' in the room.
The common thread we found is everyone seems to blur the line of an outdoor enthusiast and endurance athlete and that is who Dry Brew was built for.
Why The Outdoors Community Matters to Us
Dry Brew isn't a product that needs a lot of convincing when in the right room. When you're surrounded by people who spend their weekends on trails, bikes, skis, and racecourses, people who understand the frustration of stopping mid-adventure for a cup of coffee, the conversation practically starts itself.
At both Switchback and the Grassroots Alliance Expo, we got to have real conversations with the kind of people who are always thinking about their coffee the way we do. Not as an afterthought, but as a core part of how they move through the world. These are the athletes, outdoor professionals and retailers who are going to bring Dry Brew to their communities.
The Outdoor Community Gets It
What keeps us coming back to events like these is the authenticity of the crowd. Nobody here needs to be sold on the idea of optimizing their fuel. They already know why it matters. The question is just whether a product delivers. Dry Brew answers that question in one bite.
The conversations we had at both expos reminded us exactly why we started this company. Not to sit on a shelf, but to get out into the world with the people actually using it. On the mountain, at the trailhead, before the race, in the middle of the climb, and of course - on the DRIVE to the event.
And of course - thank you
To everyone we met over the past few weeks that we were lucky enough to share the Dry Brew experience with, thank you! Thank you for the great conversation and the continued support and belief in our evolution of coffee.
And if you haven't tried Dry Brew yet, find us at your local Target, at The Feed, or at drybrew.com. We'll see you out there.
